Have you ever been in a yoga class where participants hold impossible poses for what seems like an eternity? Your initial reason for joining yoga was to destress, but these environments can actually do just the opposite and cause more emotional stress!

Our yoga is more than just a fitness session; the groundwork for our unique approach is total mind and body relaxation. We offer principles and techniques to connect your mind back into your body to be truly present in times where our minds are busier than ever either preoccupied by the past or worrying about the future. This disconnect between mind and body can be stressful and can also contribute to physical discomfort or ailments. Traditional yoga techniques help reconnect mind and body, thus bringing some temporary relief from tension and stress. Dahn Yoga takes this traditional approach a step further by increasing one’s sensitivity to pure energy, an awareness that awakens and activates true mind-body connection.

One of Dahn Yoga’s key energy principles emphasizes the relationship between the mind and energy. Shim Ki Hyul Jung is a Korean phrase that means “Where the mind goes, energy follows.” It starts with learning to focus your mind on your lower abdomen--the core, the absolute center of your body--which maximizes one’s concentration on the body and therefore the overall effectiveness of each exercise. Many scientific studies have shown that how you think about and focus on your own body can contribute to its healing.

For anyone who truly wants to make a change, this program is crucial for uncovering exactly where you are and setting the intention for where you want to go. Through the Finding Your True Self workshop, you will have the opportunity to actually connect with your True Self, the "real you", underneath all the layers of habits, judgements, emotions, and memories that we have mistakenly identified as who we really are. Through this workshop, you will develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the people closest to you so that you can regain self-confidence, eliminate negative patterns, and achieve more harmonious relationships.
