Whether you consider yourself a seasoned yogi or a beginner trying yoga for the first time, Dahn Yoga offers a non-traditional approach to yoga in its classes. Some postures may seem familiar yet some might seem very peculiar. However, all elements of Dahn Yoga are carefully designed to create energy balance, a condition known as “water up, fire down.” To achieve this, most exercises relieve tension and build strength in the core.
Whether you are stretching your arms, tapping your lower abdomen or rolling on your back, the combination of these exercises produce a warm lower abdomen and cool head. These are also indicators of a stronger, more flexible core and results in deeper breathing, firmer posture and greater flexibility.
