Whether you consider yourself a seasoned yogi or a beginner trying yoga for the first time, Dahn Yoga offers a non-traditional approach to yoga in its classes. Some postures may seem familiar yet some might seem very peculiar. However, all elements of Dahn Yoga are carefully designed to create energy balance, a condition known as ?ater up, fire down.?To achieve this, most exercises relieve tension and build strength in the core.

Whether you are stretching your arms, tapping your lower abdomen or rolling on your back, the combination of these exercises produce a warm lower abdomen and cool head. These are also indicators of a stronger, more flexible core and results in deeper breathing, firmer posture and greater flexibility.     Initial Awakening Workshop

    We all have a lot of habits and emotions. Some of them are known to us and some of them are not. We waste a lot of energy by thinking and worrying about the past and future. This thinking habit is unconscious and non-productive. If we spend a lot of time thinking unconsciously, our physical body senses become overwhelmed and we become numbed to our true circumstance. When our mind is not in the moment, we automatically follow our habits. The purpose of Initial Awakening is to bring our focus to the moment through the core of our body, to increase our awareness and to overcome emotions so that we can use our energy more productively and positively.
