Stay Cool by Keeping Your Energy Balanced with Toe Tapping
Knowing something about energy can help you maintain your health. One important lesson you learn from Dahn Yoga classes is how little things can make a big difference in the quality of your life. You can keep yourself cool this Summer, if you add Toe Tapping to your routine.
The holistic principle “Water Up, Fire Down” is a variation on the Eastern philosophy of yin and yang. In nature life flourishes when there is a balance between the two opposing energy elements: fire and water. Balance is created or maintained by the circulation of energy when cool water energy moves upward and warm fire energy moves downward. This is also true of the human body.
According to this principle, the body is healthiest when cool water energy flows upward from the kidneys to cool of the head and warm fire energy flows down from the heart to the lower abdomen. Believe it or not, you can achieve this state with just a few minutes of tapping exercises. Toe Tapping is especially helpful for creating a cool head. The movement of the feet quickly brings warm energy down to the abdomen. But don't just take our word for it, try it for yourself!
