Whether you consider yourself a seasoned yogi or a beginner trying yoga for the first time, Dahn Yoga offers a non-traditional approach to yoga in its classes. Some postures may seem familiar yet some might seem very peculiar. However, all elements of Dahn Yoga are carefully designed to create energy balance, a condition known as “water up, fire down.” To achieve this, most exercises relieve tension and build strength in the core.

Whether you are stretching your arms, tapping your lower abdomen or rolling on your back, the combination of these exercises produce a warm lower abdomen and cool head. These are also indicators of a stronger, more flexible core and results in deeper breathing, firmer posture and greater flexibility. One quick way to get to this state is through an exercise we call the “Monkey Posture.” After just 3 minutes, you will notice a difference. Find out more about the “Monkey Posture” in this article.

For a deeper experience, try it for yourself in one of our free classes on Saturday, Nov 15th (10-11am or 1-2pm)

    We start with meridian stretching and exercises for opening up your joints. Then we will practice a few basic DahnMuDo postures, a Korean-style of Energy Martial Arts for increasing your energy circulation and improving your alignment. The class concludes with breathing and meditation. Perfect for releasing your mental stress and recovering your inner focus.
