Welcome to Westmont Dahn Yoga Center. Dahn yoga is not your typical yoga program. Dahn Yoga is a dynamic mind-body practice originating in Korea. Dahn Yoga classes combine stretching, flowing, movement, deep breathing exercises and meditation in a simple and easy to learn format. Experience a holistic way to heal your body and mind. What does your brain have to do with yoga? Everything. Whatever you think, say or do involves your brain. That’s why Dahn Yoga emphasizes the importance of brain health and conscious use of the brain. This is another way you can make positive changes in your life.
When you know how to use your brain optimally, you can choose and create the life you want.

This is the essence of the principles of the Brain Operating System (“BOS”), developed by Dahn Yoga founder, Ilchi Lee. BOS has three empowering principles that can help you bring what you desire into reality.
1: “If you choose it, you can create it.” So, choose what you desire with 100% determination. 2: “Good news makes a good brain.” Your brain works best with positive information.
3: “Pay attention!” Wake up and pay attention to the gifts of each and every moment.

At first glance, BOS seems like a recipe for extreme positivity. Maybe it is, but it’s more than wishful thinking. The principles are about how to take real life through actions differently. How you think about your life has a strong effect on your actions. Your actions lead to the results that you see. So, the best way to change results, is to change your thinking. BOS is an excellent way to make this change. For some people, yoga and meditation initiate a natural progression toward positive thinking and calmer reactions as the body holds less tension. The BOS principles can help you become more proactive in that process.
