The practice of Dahn Yoga began initially as vibration exercise to activate the natural healing rhythms of the brain and body. As the years went by, the practice as it is today was developed, exercise by exercise, stretch by stretch, based on the experience and know-how of founder Ilchi Lee, and his more advanced students.
In 2007, Ilchi Lee combined the accumulation of his prior 27 years of work into a comprehensive program with 5 steps: the BEST program, Brain Education Systems Training.
Dahn Yoga uses the various components of the BEST program as its main training method.
BEST is a deeply experiential program. It involves physical, emotional, and cognitive exercises, as well as postures, breathing techniques, guided imagery, and games. The exercises and workshops are divided into five progressive steps that can also be experienced concurrently.
