After a rigorous training experience on Moak Mountain in Korea, Ilchi Lee came to believe Korean mind-body training methods could be used to benefit the health and wellbeing of humanity. He began teaching brain-centered exercises to one stroke survivor in a public park. Eventually, he systematized his trainings as DahnHak (Dahn Yoga) in order to help more individuals sense and circulate life energy (Ki/Chi). In 1985, the first Dahn Center opened in Seoul.
Due to his dedication and sincerity, the number of people who came for Ilchi Lee’s teachings increased dramatically. Member satisfaction was vitally important to Lee; he took care of each and every one of his members with respect and affection. Today, that same passion for member satisfaction remains the number one priority at every Dahn Yoga Center around the world.
Since the opening of the first center in 1985, millions of people in South Korea, Japan, the United States, Canada, Brazil, United Kingdom, Germany and Russia have benefited from the programs and methods developed by Ilchi Lee. We, the Dahn Yoga staff members, always strive to stay true to Ilchi Lee’s commitment to careful attend and respect each and every one of our members.
In order to concentrate more on research, program development and Brain Education, he stepped down from management of the Dahn Yoga centers years ago.
In his present role as a consultant to Dahn Yoga, Ilchi Lee encourages members and instructors to cultivate a society that is widely beneficial for all. He is constantly developing and refining brain-education-related exercises and programs to fulfill a vision peace and health for people the world over.
