Wake up Seattle! You are invited to attend the Celebration of Hope--Earth Citizens Festival presented by the Earth Citizens Organization (ECO) which will be held at Lake Washington High School Theater in Kirkland on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tickets are $15.00 Adults / $5 ages 12 & under, and available atwww.SeattleEarthCitizens.org. Let Drum Cafe transport you, with the entire audience, into an interactive group drumming session. Imagine young children performing? Come experience young Ethiopian children singing on stage in their native costumes. Revisit Seattle's history when the group, "Singing Feet", members of our local Duwamish Tribe, contribute their cultural richness through drumming and traditional dancing. Receive the Earth Citizens' message of hope for future generations. You will be introduced to a unique, innovative educational experience for school age children called Brain Education (BE). "BE aims to develop childrens’ creativity through physical, emotional, and cognitive exercises." Children joyfully express their delight with their experience. "It was really fun. We did a lot of games for the mind that showed us how to use our mind." "It's really amazing. I think I really improved my concentration." The Earth Citizens Festival celebrates our humanity which transcends the boundaries of ethnicity, religion, and culture. "We share a responsibility to each other and our planet, Earth." The Earth Citizens Organization (ECO), a non-profit, focuses on educating young community leaders. After training, these young individuals return to their community sharing practical skills and tools that promote a more sustainable environment for Seattle and local communities. All donations will support Seattle's local scholarship recipients attending the ECO Youth Leadership training courses.
