My wife and I started to attend in September 2011 based on the recommendation of some friends. When I started I had my doubts about my enthusiasm, but it is now 2012 and I would encourage anyone to get involved. The one thing that I like the most is that is a workout of both mind and body. It is something that if I miss one of my three sessions a week that I like to attend I feel I have cheated. We are planning a spring trip to Sodona that I am so looking forward to. I enjoy hiking and a hike up Bell Rock is now on my bucket list. Our instructor Jeff nim has been so encouraging so sessions go by fast.

I am more flexible and no stiffness in my neck or back

After three months of Dahn Yoga, I find that I'm more flexible. So much so that after falling on the ice, I experienced no sore muscles, and when I shovelled 11 inches of snow off our driveway and our neighbors' driveway, I was not sore at all either. I also feel more stress-free.

Finding true peace of mind and body

My practice through Dahn Yoga has brought so much peace into my mind and body. I have learned how to focus on my breathing and use this focus as a tool to calm my thoughts and emotions. Before, I would follow my emotions and ride a daily roller coaster of up and down and all around--it was exhausting! As I learned to focus my mind through breathing and then find my center in my body, I became more centered and calm in my daily life.
