Instructor/Hyeran
Jane Cash, Arlington center, MA
In our lives we will meet many teachers. One of the finest, if not the finest, is at Arlington's Dahn Yoga Center. A young beautiful woman externally and internally. A compassionate, caring human being who sincerely believes in her clients ability to have much more potential than they themselves believe. A class with Hyeran brings joy, peace, and energy as she takes time to address the needs of each individual with a gentle touch to correct a position or to encourage with her words. Her integrity is noted in her seriousness about each class yet it is done with kindess and thoughtfulness. Her teaching is filled with comments that help each person be all he or she can be. A couple of her comments that have proven to help: "Stretch - just a little bit, just a little bit more, a little more". "Respect your own body. Do what you can. Respect your body," repeated to keep the focus on what we can really do. It is amazing what "just a little bit more" can do. Repetition is part of good teaching and her consistency in repeating encouragement is invaluable and so is the patterns she develops in each class. Each class has familiar patterns (after a few classes they become familiar) yet there is always something brand new in each class. The consistency, introduction of new material, caring, seriousness, and laughter make Hyeran above and beyond the norm for any type of teaching. My thanks for all she has helped me to accomplish. I could not have done what I've done without her and I'm sure she is going to coninue to urge me to do, "Just a little bit more." And I will try to meet her expectations of me.
- No more pain and much more Joy!
