Recovering from M.S.

Three years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and started looking for something that could help me to get in better shape because I had a problem with my legs. I felt such numbness and tightness in my legs that I couldn't function normally. It was also difficult for me to concentrate, and I would sometimes lose my balance.
After just a month of taking Dahn Yoga classes, I felt a very big difference. I could concentrate, and I was able to take care of everything in my life, my work, housework, reading, household finances, etc. Then, after a year or two, I felt an even bigger difference in myself. I could walk and even run, I could climb stairs, and I even saw some improvement in my balance, which had been a really big problem for me.
Sometimes I do experience some symptoms, but I've learned several exercises I can do to help alleviate the symptoms. Now I can feel what I need to do and when in order to help reduce symptoms when they occur. The outside world is not easy so it’s nice to, at least a few times a week, just be yourself, live for yourself, and feel your body.
