If you haven’t heard it already, at some point you will hear that yoga is more than physical exercise. It is training for the mind and body working together. This is especially true in Dahn Yoga, which emphasizes energy--which connects mind and body. Once you start learning about energy, you will think about your body differently. This can mean positive changes to the way you experience being in your body.
Thinking and feeling differently about your body can lead to many personal breakthroughs. For some people these are related to their physical health, for others it may be emotional breakthroughs. Either way, learning about the energy connection between mind and body can help you feel better. This connection can show you how every part of your body is important.

Getting out of bed was painful - now I happily jump out of bed to stretch, balance and focus!
After falling on the ice I had no sore muscles, and when I shoveled 11 inches of snow I was not sore at all either.
I handle my emotions, my body has gained strength, and after several car accidents I can honestly say I am pain free.
I would follow my emotions and ride a daily roller coaster of up and down and all around--it was exhausting!
Not only am I in my best physical condition, but my emotional and spiritual health are much more balanced as well.
