Beat Summer Insomnia
Tossing and turning at night, unable to fall asleep, until finally drifting off only to wake up again and again in the stifling heat of summer? When temperatures are high and the days are long, you may find that symptoms of insomnia seem to worsen. Since many different factors can trigger insomnia, let us view this phenomenon from an energetic perspective; Dahn Yoga can help with insomnia.
If the body's circulation of energy is not fluid, hot energy becomes concentrated in the head and the added pressure on the brain will make it unable to relax; thus, the brain waves will not lapse into a state of sleep. Since all this occurs when the head becomes hot, it follows that if you bring the fire energy down from your head, tension will be released from your brain and your brain waves will be able to drop.

Walk For Children's Laughter with Camp Soaring Eagle
Dahn Yoga Foundation announced the launch of the Walk for Children's Laughter. The charitable event will take place this August 13 starting at the North Parking Lot in Bell Rock, Arizona.
Money raised from the Dahn Yoga community and participants in the walk-a-thon will benefit Camp Soaring Eagle, a non-profit organization which gives seriously ill children and their families the chance to discover the healing power of laughter and the sheer joy of play that sickness has denied them. Based in Arizona, the organization provides exciting experiences and offers campers the chance to unwind in various medically safe settings around the country.
Participants in the walk-a-thon are encouraged to gather pledges and donations of support. The walk will be set against the beautiful backdrop of Bell Rock in Sedona. Others may also simply pay the $10 registration fee and join in. The entry fee includes free refreshments, while those who raise $50 or more will be presented with a Walk for Children's Laughter t-shirt.
