Why Don't I Feel Tired Even after a One-hour Workout?
She was almost a pitiful sight, obviously drained of energy from the day’s tension and stress as a legal assistant, and hard not to notice as she almost dragged herself into the evening’s Dahn Yoga class.
Then, hardly an hour later, overflowing with strength and vitality, this same member exited the training room as if she were flying, and exclaimed, “Actually, I was so tired today that I thought I couldn’t come to yoga and I was just going to go home. But I’m really glad I came here. If I went home, I would have watched TV for awhile and then fallen asleep.”
Many have had this same “before and after” experience that exemplifies Dahn Yoga’s tremendous capacity for rejuvenation. In fact, it happens all the time!

Protect the Heart from Anger
Life’s little ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’ affect us both physically and energetically – especially in the heart.
During these times, if you have wished for a “heart protector,” it may surprise you to know about the “King’s Bodyguard” - the pericardium.
A Fire element, yin organ, it is a mass of energy in the form of a tough, fibrous membrane that envelops the heart and protects it physically. Energetically, it also protects the heart from damaging energies, such as those caused by radical emotional fluctuations from the excessive emotional energies of other organs (for example, anger from the liver). It has a powerful influence on one’s mental and emotional states.

A Helping Hand in the Bay Area
Katherin Bledsoe in Fremont, California has been teaching Dahn Yoga to about 200 students at fourteen locations and her story was featured in the Oakland Tribune with a beautiful picture.
For the past two years, about eighteen retired nuns, mostly in their eighties, have cheerfully gathered in a circle near the Sisters of the Holy Family Motherhouse in Fremont, CA, to take a Dahn Yoga class from Katherin Bledsoe.
It is only one of the fourteen community locations where Katherin teaches Dahn Yoga - either for free or for a very small fee - at local parks, senior centers, a school for the blind, and even at her home. With such prolific teaching, you would never guess that Katherine used to have speaking problems.
