Start Collaborative Healing

Dahn Yoga Foundation Project, Sedona Mediation Center

On October 31, the Sedona Meditation Center (SMC) officially opened its doors in uptown Sedona, Arizona, and celebrated its Grand Opening by inviting the community to a costume Halloween party.

SMC is a special project of Dahn Yoga Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and made possible by Ilchi Lee, the Non-Executive Chairman of BR Consulting Inc., who advised the company to provide the facilities to Dahn Yoga Foundation at no cost. The center has a mission to inspire people to connect to their inner rhythm, to improve well-being, and to promote peace and happiness in the local community.

Currently, the center has several ongoing outreach projects, including classes provided to the Yavapai-Apache Nation, Coconino Indian Reservation, Boys & Girls Club, and the Verde Valley Medical Center for Parkinson’s patients. On location, outreach classes include Chair and Gentle Yoga for disabled persons, Collaborative Healing Friday, and an Open Class every Saturday.

SMC began holding public weekly Collaborative Healing sessions last July. The circle has grown steadily every week and, with word of its power spreading quickly, has become a mainstay for Sedona locals. One generally favorite part of the session is sending LifeParticles healing energy to loved ones who are not present. One member, Franklin Hughes, has attended almost every session. He shares that, “I feel more energy and awakening than I do with other activities. The sessions make me feel a part of a group of people who are loving and caring and who are really trying to help others.”

On November 12, SMC will host “Celebrate the Sedona Spirit,” a collaborative healing concert that will promote global healing with seven hundred hearts. For details, visit www.sedonameditationcenter.org.
